Making art to create art with...

The vast majority of my artistic output can be best described as work in progress.  All the materials I use have seen a life before finding their way to my studio.  There is a desire in me to extend that life as much as I am able, as very nearly everything continues to be useful long after it has been discarded.

The transitory Installations I produce are intrinsically site specific…the space comes first; the choice of materials grows out of my being in that space.  I like to work subtly, producing art that seems to belong where it is discovered…all the time evolving, awaiting the quiet pull back into the melting pot that is my studio…until the next time…

Aside from found objects and materials, I create with what is essentially my own waste.  The packaging that comes along with any products I buy.  I find it to be as good a material for artistic expression as any other…and there always seems to be a never-ending supply…
